On December 29, 2011, MAG Mutual Insurance Company completed the sale of MagMutual Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (MMHSI) to InHealth Systems and Services, an Atlanta healthcare services organization.
MMHSI was originally formed by MagMutual in the mid-1990s to help physician-policyholders more effectively manage the business aspects of their medical practices. As a new division of InHealth, called InGauge, the former MMHSI staff will continue its focus on helping physicians.
InHealth Systems and Services was founded in 1977 by a national management consulting firm with a similar goal. With its new division, InHealth now provides a full range of services, including: physician/practice billing; consulting; medical, fee and coding publications and software; physician credentialing; tax, accounting and information technology services; medical transcription, document scanning and a wide range of practice management, electronic medical record (EMR) and filing systems.
MagMutual intends to offer our policyholders the services InHealth and InGauge provide through a business partnership.
