A member of the Board since 1999, Dr. Wilson has served as Chairman since July, 2011. Previously, Dr. Wilson practiced interventional cardiology in Atlanta, Georgia for 27 years.

Neil joined MagMutual as President and Chief Operating Officer in 2012.  He directs MagMutual’s overreaching business strategy and manages daily operations.

Ed Lynch has more than 25 years of experience in professional liability insurance on both the intermediary and company side of the business. He has almost exclusively worked in the healthcare space, and contributes a great deal of expertise to MagMutual. Prior to joining MagMutual he was area senior vice president and director for the national healthcare practice of an insurance brokerage and risk management firm.

As a licensed attorney practicing since 1991, Joe Cregan brings a wealth of legal experience to the MagMutual team. The main focus of his career in law has been in insurance law, corporate law and insurance company transactions. Prior to working at MagMutual Joe was a partner at Morris, Manning, and Martin in Atlanta.

With more than 25 years of both U.S. and international accounting, finance, actuarial, insurance and budgeting experience, Naveed Anwar brings an abundance of knowledge and experience to MagMutual. Most recently he was the Chief Financial Officer for the North American Region of Catlin (part of XL Catlin).

With over 20 years of Information Technology experience, Sallie Graves has the right knowledge and skills to be leading MagMutual’s IT deperatment. Throughout her career she has worked in a range of industries including insurance and consumer products. Prior to joining MagMutual, Sallie was the Global Senior IT Director for The Coca Cola Company.

Dr. Benjamin (Ben) Cheek has been a practicing Ob-Gyn for more than 30 years. Like many drawn to medicine, he’s always enjoyed helping people and even spent his summers in college working in hospitals.

Dr. Andrews became a board member in 1998 and has served MagMutual PolicyOwners on the Audit, Compensation, Executive, Finance, Medical Relations, Underwriting and Claims Committees for both South Carolina and Virginia.

Dr. Dan DeLoach, MD, brings more than 36 years of experience as a practicing physician to MagMutual PolicyOwners. Like many physicians, Dr. DeLoach felt the call of medicine from an early age. He is a board certified plastic surgeon, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and served as President of the Medical Association of Georgia from 2010-2011.

Dr. David Stewart brings more than 29 years of experience as a physician to the MagMutual board and our PolicyOwners. Dr. Stewart enjoys working with patients and helping people and the camaraderie that comes with the support and defense of physicians at MagMutual.

A trip to the emergency room when he was five years old caused Dr. Price Corr to think he might want to be either a physician or a fireman. After the surgeon sewed up his cut leg, he gave him a stethoscope and told him to keep it, that maybe he too would become a doctor one day. Dr. Corr still has that stethoscope.

Dr. John Antalis comes from a family of physicians so had the opportunity to become familiar with the profession at an early age. He saw firsthand not just the respect that patients had for their family doctor, but also the care and consideration that the doctor took with patients. Later, Dr. Antalis was accepted to both law and medical school, but has never regretted his decision to pursue a medical degree and become a family practitioner.

Like many physicians, Dr. Michael Bono was drawn to medicine at a young age after admiring how well his family pediatrician took care of patients. Today, Dr. Bono is in his 31st year of practice as an Emergency Medicine physician.

Dr. Michael Greene was drawn to medicine after working as a phlebotomist and lab technician in both high school and college. What he most enjoyed working in the medical field was the ability to directly impact patient lives combined with the scientific and problem-solving skills that it required.

Dr. Pete Steckl was drawn to the intellectual challenge of medicine and was also greatly influenced by his mother, a pediatrician, who worked at a county clinic when he was a child. Dr. Steckl enjoys the instant rapport he’s able to build when interacting with patients as an emergency room physician.

Dr. Easley took a roundabout way to becoming a physician, finishing an engineering degree, then law school, before finding his way back to his original dream of becoming a physician. Dr. Easley knew as a child that he wanted to be a physician and after several years of practicing law, he again felt the calling to practice medicine and changed professions. He has now spent more than 30 years as an Ob-Gyn and Urogynecologist.

Dr. Bohlke found his way to medicine by witnessing the impact that a family physician had on patients’ lives in a small town in south Georgia. Today, Dr. Bohlke has been practicing family medicine for more than 21 years and became a board member at MagMutual in 2006.

Dr. Sheila Robinson found her way to medicine after a childhood experience with pneumonia and the family physician that impacted her both physically and emotionally. She was struck by the ease with which the doctor helped her through not just the illness and hospitalization, but being isolated from friends and family as well.

Like many in the field of medicine, Dr. Terry Smith became a doctor because he liked interacting with people, helping them solve problems and becoming part of their lives. Though he is no longer involved in direct patient care, currently Dr. Smith writes for the South Carolina Medical Association (SCMA) magazine and is on the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Lexington Hospital in Lexington, South Carolina.

Dr. C. Thomas (Tommy) Hopkins has served as a physician for 36 years, with medical service dating back five generations in his family. Dr. Hopkins has been in private practice as an orthopedic surgeon for 27 years and served another nine years as a physician in the United States Air Force (USAF).

Dr. James knew from an early age that he wanted to be a physician. As an Ob-Gyn, Dr. Bill James, MD, has provided care to women in South Carolina for over 36 years and in 2012, the Spartanburg County Medical Association honored him with the D.C. Hull Award for physician of the year.
