Chat with Chet: Accident Investigations [18 mins]

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, an estimated 3 million on-the-job injuries occur each year in the U.S., with approximately 4,500 workers losing their lives due to workplace accidents.

In this video, Chet Crockett, Business Risk Manager and Employee Safety Consultant, will discuss the importance of accident investigation.  Preventing workplace injuries is always the primary goal, but incidents do happen and it's important to investigate these accidents to determine the root-cause. This video will also address the importance of having a solid plan in place when an incident occurs, resulting in either a near miss or employee injury. This information will help identify the need for employee training and equipment and/or safety procedures that may prevent future incidents.
