Dr. Marshaleen King is a pulmonary and critical care specialist on faculty at Morehouse School of Medicine and a physician consultant at The Institute at MagMutual®. Her field of interest is pulmonary vascular disease, with special interest in pulmonary hypertension. She is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the American Thoracic Society and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
Dr. King was among the faculty members who developed the patient safety and quality improvement (PS/QI) curriculum for the residency programs at Morehouse. Since then, she has participated in the implementation of the PS/QI program for residents at Morehouse and currently assists residents in designing and conducting PS/QI projects. Dr. King is also co-director for the Intermediate Care Unit at Grady Memorial Hospital and participated in the development and implementation of the "Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program" (CUSP) for the unit.
She completed an internal medicine residency as well as a faculty development program and earned a Master of Science in clinical research at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM). She also completed fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
