Adam Bates

Adam Bates joined MagMutual in 2019 to help bring a quantitative perspective to the underwriting process, developing best in class tools for the evaluation of risk, and growing a profitable underwriting portfolio.
Prior to his current role, Adam held the position of Vice President and Actuary at Allied World Assurance Company, Ltd., where he led the actuarial pricing initiatives for Allied World’s Bermuda platform.
Adam also previously led the Client Analytics initiative at BerkleyMed, a W.R. Berkley member company. Adam has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Actuarial Science from Maryville University, in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
