Mutual Matters: Partnerships & Why They Matter
MagMutual PolicyOwners:
As you may already be aware, MagMutual recently formed new partnerships with two different, yet distinguished organizations.
In June, MagMutual became the preferred insurance provider by the Oregon Medical Association (OMA). The OMA is Oregon’s largest professional advocacy group for physicians and healthcare providers.
After a rigorous selection process, MagMutual was chosen for this distinction because of our financial stability and dedication to helping policyholders mitigate risk. The endorsement also underscored our commitment to excellence and serving the needs of healthcare professionals.
Then in August, we announced an exclusive relationship with Sapphire Blue — Ryan Specialty’s complex healthcare risks and underwriting specialty firm — a leading international specialty-insurance firm — and Sapphire Blue, the firm’s underwriting specialty. This collaboration with the leading underwriter of senior living and allied healthcare liability will help MagMutual reach policyholders outside the traditional physician and hospital model.
The collective effort will create a preeminent insurance solution as well as strengthen product innovation, customer service and risk management for both companies.
It’s easy to see why this is a win for each company involved in these partnerships. But what about you — our PolicyOwners? How do you factor in? Do these affiliations even matter to you?
Well, I hope this serves as additional validation for choosing MagMutual, because not only does this highlight the trust these organizations have for us, but it also underscores our quality products and high levels of service we provide to PolicyOwners.
These partnerships are evidence we’re doing something right within medical liability insurance; hopefully a reassuring fact for you. They also allow us to work with other innovators within the healthcare and insurance space; sharing and collaborating along the way to constantly improve our products and PolicyOwner experience.
We see it as a sign of success that other companies choose to work with you for a shared purpose. Our collective interests with these two organizations will allow us to better serve our policyholders and other healthcare providers today, while also looking toward the future.
I hope this helped form a strong connection in your mind about how these partnerships are good for you, too. We always put our policyholders first, which is why MagMutual strives to constantly learn, grow and become better at what we do. We will continue to look for advantageous partnerships that strengthen your company.
Sincerely,
Bill Kanich, MD, JD
