Aref has been a litigation consultant for almost two decades. In that time, he has worked for various litigation consulting companies across the country. As a litigation consultant, Aref assisted counsel with developing case strategy, selecting juries, conducting jury research, and preparing witnesses for deposition and trial testimony. He has consulted on hundreds of cases across the country dealing with a wide variety of legal issues. At its core, Aref’s work is focused on helping attorneys craft simple, convincing, and memorable themes for trial.
Aref joined MagMutual in January 2024 as the Head Litigation Strategist. He brings his extensive consulting experience to the carrier to assist defense counsel with the best possible defenses for MagMutual's insureds. Specifically, Aref helps prepare healthcare providers for their testimony, assists counsel in developing probative voir dire, recommends jury selection strategies, and helps guide MMPO counsel to be effective communicators.
Aref lives in the Nashville Metropolitan Area with his wife, three children, two cats, and dog. When he is not working or driving kids around, you can find him rucking or throwing kettlebells.
