MagMutual Welcomes Naveed Anwar as Senior Vice President and CFO

Atlanta, August 10, 2015 – MagMutual Insurance Company, the Southeast’s largest medical professional liability insurer, is pleased to announce that Naveed Anwar has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Naveed brings more than 30 years of both U.S. and international accounting, finance, actuarial, insurance and budgeting experience to MagMutual. Most recently he was the Chief Financial Officer for the North American Region of Catlin, headquartered here in Atlanta, Georgia. Catlin is now part of XL Catlin, a global property and casualty insurer and reinsurer serving clients in more than 160 countries.

In his role, Naveed will manage all strategic matters as they relate to investments, capital, reinsurances, tax and banking. He will also oversee the company’s financial reporting, budget planning and forecasting, process improvement and new growth opportunities. Additionally, Naveed will have responsibility for the company’s relationships with the departments of insurance, regulatory institutions, rating agencies, investment advisors and bankers.

He holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Kingston University in London, U.K., and is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Naveed is also Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
