Dhillon Ramkhelawan

Dhillon is a trial attorney who has dedicated his career to the area of medical malpractice defense.

Prior to joining MMPO Defense in 2026, Dhillon worked for several years at a prominent Florida defense firm where he represented some of the nation’s largest healthcare systems, and individual medical providers, in malpractice and licensure actions across the entire state. He has tried several cases to verdict and frequently gives lectures to physicians, risk managers and other attorneys on medical malpractice related topics. Before moving to Florida and venturing into a career in the law, Dhillon served as an analyst and consultant in both the technology and financial sectors.

Dhillon received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Barry University School of Law. He was the recipient of the Dean’s Excellence Full-Tuition Scholarship and graduated with Honors in the top 10% of his class. While in law school, Dhillon received numerous Book awards, was a member of the Trial Team and was a finalist in the annual 1L Moot Court competition. Additionally, Dhillon served as Editor-in-Chief for one of the school’s legal journals, where he was responsible for overseeing the publication of fourteen Law Review articles written by legal scholars, and where he organized several pro bono events that helped give back to the Central Florida community. As a law student, Dhillon also authored three Law Review articles that were selected for publication, which led to him being inducted into the National Order of Scribes prior to graduation. Mr. Ramkhelawan remains an active member of the Barry University School of Law Alumni community.

Originally from Toronto, Dhillon obtained his Master of Management Degree from the Schulich School of Business. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Sociology from York University, where he graduated as a member of the Dean’s Honor Roll and was inducted into the Golden Key International Scholarship Society. When he is not working, Mr. Ramkhelawan loves playing sports, traveling and spending quality time with his family and friends.
